Using the Library
Using the Vista Library
We all share the Vista Library. It is important to treat it respectfully. It is a privilege for you to use the library independently, without your teacher.
The library is open before and after school and at nutrition and lunch. To gain entry into the library at those times, students must have attended an instructional session on proper use of the library.
Sessions will be offered periodically throughout the school year.
- Students who attend a session will receive a sticker that will go on the student ID.
- The ID with the sticker must be presented to the librarian in order to enter the library during nutrition and lunch. For computer use your ID with sticker & (AUP on file) must be placed in specific computer pocket #.
- For library use before and after school, only the ID with the sticker needs to be shown.
- Students who behave inappropriately in the library will lose their stickers. They must attend another instructional session (offered after school once a month) on proper library use to get another sticker.
All students may visit the library during class time with their teachers, whether they have the sticker or not.
